NFL

\r\n

History

\r\nIn August 1920, representatives from four states- Akron, Canton, Cleveland, and Dayton- held a meeting and formed the American Professional Football Conference (APFC) to improve footballing standards in the country. A month later, they formed the American Professional Football Association (APFA) and played a league with 14 teams. In 1922, they changed the name to National Football League (NFL).\r\n\r\nIn 1960, a new professional league- American Football League (AFL) started as a competition to the NFL. After six years, in 1966, the two leagues announced a merger that would take effect from 1970. During the four years between the announcement and the actual merger, the leagues started playing a Championship game- The Super Bowl. Since their merger, the two leagues are being recognized as two conferences within the NFL.\r\n

Participating teams

\r\nThere are 32 teams in the NFL divided equally among the two conferences- National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). Each of the conferences is further divided into 4 divisions- East, North, South, and West- with each division containing four teams.\r\n\r\nAmerican Football Conference (AFC)\r\n\r\nEast\r\n

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2021: News, Schedule, Roster, Score, Injury Report

\r\nThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers joined the NFL for the 1976 season, along with the Seattle Seahawks. The franchise went winless in the debut and is one of two teams to not register a single win over the course of a regular season. However, as it was their debut year, fans looked past this as the team had to settle down. \r\n\r\n\\ \r\n\r\nThey started off in the AFC before joining the NFC where they won their first football games only towards the end of their second season. The statistic makes their divisional triumph in the 3rd season that much more astounding. \r\n\r\nIn 2020, the franchise signed free agent quarterback Tom Brady . The signing bolstered their squad, and in the eyes of analysts, it would serve as the missing link between a strong team and a unit that could make it to the post-season. Another new signing was a 3-time Super Bowl-winning tight end, Rob Gronkowski. \r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_479919\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"1920\"]\Brady Nov 29, 2020; Tampa, Florida, USA; Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians speaks with Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (12) during the first half at Raymond James Stadium. They play in one of the most stacked divisions on the NFL alongside the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints , and Atlanta Falcons. \r\n

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Owner Achievements

\r\nThe Glazer family serves as the owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Malcolm Glazer purchased the club 25 years ago ahead of the 1995 NFL season. It was under the Glazers that the franchise ended its 18-season divisional title drought and 15-year postseason drought. \r\n\r\n\\ \r\n\r\nIn the 3rd season of their new owners, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers left the Tampa Stadium and settled at the newly constructed Raymond James Stadium. \r\n

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Achievements

\r\nThe Buccaneers have claimed 1 Super Bowl win. They beat the Oakland Raiders to conclude the 2002 NFL season. The 2002 season also marked Tampa Bay’s only NFC Championship victory to date. \r\n\r\n\\ \r\n\r\nThe franchise has claimed its divisional title 3 times. The first of these came in its 3rd season in professional football. They achieved sporadic success winning their NFC East division just 2 more times before the turn of the millennium. Tampa Bay Buccaneers built on their Super Bowl success and won the NFC South two more times in 2005 and 2007. \r\n\r\nThe Florida-based outfit has made it to the NFL post-season on 10 occasions but is yet to advance in over 13 seasons. \r\n\r\nThe Buccs rounded off their 2020 regular season with an 11-5 record and placed second in the NFC South. They went on to win the Wild Card Playoffs at Washington with a 31-23 finish.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_440456\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"1920\"]\Tampa Nov 8, 2020; Tampa, Florida, USA; New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Malcom Brown (90) sacks Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (12) during the second half at Raymond James Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports[/caption]\r\n\r\nThey finally actualized their post-season blues with a run in the 2020 season. They are primed to take on the New Orleans Saints on their home turf after losing to them twice in the regular season.\r\n

Logo

\r\nThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers have remained true to their name and incorporated it into their logos right from their inception. The franchise’s first logo from 1976 to 1996 featured a character dressed as a buccaneer with a dagger in his mouth. The colors of orange and red blended to form the design. \r\n\r\n\\ \r\n\r\nAhed of the 1996 NFL season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers opted for a logo with the pirate ship staple from popular culture. It featured a flag with rips in strategic places and the trademark skull and crossbones. At the intersection of the crossbones, the designers left an orange football. \r\n\r\nThe logo structure has remained, with only the colors changing on a couple of occasions. First, the franchise lightened the maroon flag to make it red and eliminated the rips on the flag. The color of the football was lightened. Ahead of the 2020 NFL season, the franchise opted for a darker logo, which is reminiscent of the 1996 to 2013 version. \r\n\r\nEvery single version of their logo has stayed true to their team colors of red, orange, and black. \r\n

Antonio Brown 2022: Net Worth, Salary, and Endorsements

\r\n

Antonio Brown is often regarded as one of the best, if not the best wide receivers of the 2010s. The Central Michigan Chippewas player played just 3 years of college football before opting to enter the 2010 NFL draft. Here, he found a team in the 6th Round as the 195th overall pick, as the Pittsburgh Steelers decided to bolster their wide receiver corps.

Brown spent 9 seasons as part of the ‘Black and Gold Brigade’ roster, before requesting a trade at the start of the 2019 season. Following this, he had short-lived spells with the Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots. Following this, he signed a 1-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mid-season (2020) on October 27th, which resulted in a Super Bowl. He again signed a 1-year contract with them on April 28, 2021, but this time he ended up parting ways with the franchise in January 2022.

Several controversies have cost him dearly, as his Tampa Bay deal was a $1 million base salary. This pales in comparison to the $17 million per year average in his initial Pittsburgh Steelers run.

Celebrity Net Worth tally Brown's NFL career earnings to $77 million. His stint with the Patriots was potentially lucrative; however, a guaranteed $30 million was flushed away. 2022 Foundation and Charity

\r\n

Antonio Brown doesn’t have any charities of his own. However, the NFL wide receiver has been very active in giving back to society. As per Steelers Wire, Brown volunteered with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

\r\n

In collaboration with Campbell Soup Company, the wide receiver presented the Food Bank with a number of soup bowls. He also teamed up with public schools in Pittsburgh to provide supplies to school children.

\r\n

His recent troubles have caused some issues on the charity front, as some charities have been looking to sever ties. Following a slew of incidents in January 2020, the Hollywood Police Department returned a check from Brown and issued a trespass order stating they no longer want Brown to be associated with their youth league.

\r\n\r\n

2022 Endorsements

\r\n

Antonio formerly had an endorsement with Nike, which was pulled due to unsavory allegations that were alleged. Antonio Brown is no longer a 'Nike Athlete', a company spokesperson told FOX Business.
