Is Grand Teton National Park open on July 4th?

Much of western Wyoming is a beautiful landscape of National Parks as Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are right next to each other and make up about half of Wyoming’s western border.

Grand Teton National Park is much smaller than it’s northern cousin (about one-seventh of the acreage) but it is still one of the most revered National Parks for the scenery.

But will Grand Teton National Park be open on July 4?

Is Grand Teton National Park open on July 4th?

Grand Teton National Park will be open on July 4, as it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. However, there are occasionally some roads or hiking trails that are under construction or closed due to weather.

For example, as of this publication, The Granite Canyon Trailhead is closed and the Moose-Wilson Road from the Granite Canyon Entrance to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve will be closed in just over a week through Labor Day.

You can check out all of the updates that the National Park Service has about the park and all of the National Parks in the United States here.

In addition to road closures, they have lots of information on their site including information on camping, the weather, information on passes, boating, biking, climbing, hiking, wildlife safety, their pet policies, and a lot more.

If you are traveling to visit the park this holiday weekend, make sure to check out the updates on Yellowstone National Park, which is just 10 miles north of Grand Teton National Park, as they have had some closures in recent weeks and some things reopen this weekend.

So go out there and enjoy the outdoors in some of the best that our country has to offer in the great, wide-open landscape that makes up Grand Teton National Parks and our National Parks, in general.
